Consulting Services

We offer a variety of consulting services, ranging from user needs assessments, competitive analyses, industry surveys, and technical white paper development to interface design, software integration, and product testing.  Our areas of expertise include routed and switched internetworking, wireless LANs and WANs, 802.11/802.1X security, secure remote access, NAC, VPN, UTM firewalls, mobile security, voice over IP, and network management.

Product Evaluation

We perform product and equipment evaluation on behalf of individual clients, with an emphasis on (secure) remote/wireless access and telecommuting solutions. Our staff has conducted compatibility and certification testing of remote access equipment for major service providers. We also beta test products for VPN/firewall, network appliance, WLAN, router and switch manufacturers, and provide new product evaluations for technology publications, including Business Communications Review,  Information Security, Info World, ISP-Planet, searchMobileComputing, searchNetworking, WatchGuard  LiveSecurity, and Wi-Fi Planet.

Conferences, Webcasts, and Seminars

We provide industry conference, webinar, and on-site training for a wide variety of network/security topics, including IP Network Security, NAC, Virtual Private Networking, VOIP Security, and Wireless LAN Security.

Software Solutions and Products

We have designed and developed network management applications and operations systems components based upon industry standard platforms, including those from DSET, Objective Systems Integrators, Hewlett-Packard, and Sun. Our SNMP-based ISDN Accounting server software is the foundation for Cisco Enterprise Accounting.  NetHelper, our network diagnostic shareware for Windows, is freely-available for download at http:/www.corecom.com/Software.
