10Base-T Ethernet tests were conducted on an isolated 10-Mbps (half-duplex) LAN, connecting the card under test with Category 5 cable, through a hub, to a Pentium II 266 server. Windows 95 command-line FTP was used to get and put 3-, 10-, and 50-Mbyte test files. The same test files were also copied from a server drive accessed with Microsoft File Sharing. Binary file transfer times were used to calculate effective throughput in Mbps.
