• Switches and routers enforce priorities, apply policies and shape traffic

• Packets classified into aggregate flows using Diffserv tags at managed CPE or PoP router

• Boundary nodes enforce traffic conditioning agreement between customer & SP

• IEEE 802.1p and Diffserv classifications mapped onto ATM QOS

or… MPLS tunnels add QOS-aware routing to core

or… Add PASTE to direct aggregated flows
