The ISDN SURFR Setup Phone Monitor window allows you to watch the progress of calls involving one of the two possible analog devices attached to the BITSURFR Pro. Curiously, no comparable call monitor or log facility is provided for ISDN calls.
To diagnose ISDN problems, you can place a test call using the Configure and Test button on the ISDN SURFR Setup Configuration window or the Self Call Test button on the Diagnostics window. SURFR Setup identifies the active ISDN layers and suggests how to resolve problems at the ISDN level. If you’re stuck, check out the list of FAQs posted at Motorola’s web site. We should also note that the SoftLoad button provided by ISDN SURFR Setup enables integrated download of new firmware for your BITSURFR Pro from Motorola’s BBS.
